While studying architecture in college, my interior designs always seemed superior to the exterior of my buildings.
I love the challenge of entering a space (vacant or occupied) and immediately being able to capture its full potential. Once I finished designing my home, I began to get hired on a freelance basis to design other peoples interiors. Mostly residential, but I have completed office spaces as well as salons.
I admire all types of interior design, but my heart always leans towards industrial / modern with a hint of zen. I really enjoy the way raw materials such as stone, brick, and, wood contrast with something extremely modern. Finding that sweet spot of duality by pairing raw elements with modern materials always does it for me.
Perhaps I was a chef in a past life. While others find cooking to be a stressful chore, I find it to be very therapeutic.
I tend to keep things simple, take what I know, and make it the best version it can be. Plating the dish is probably my favorite part, but the end result usually makes it all worth it.
